TABITO IS A BELGO-JAPANESE BRAND FOUNDED IN 2013 BY MIHO TAKAGI & FREDERIC BRYON —PARTNERS SINCE THIER STUDIES IN SILVERSMITHING & METAL WORK AT THE CAMBERWELL COLLEGE OF ARTS IN LONDON.

WE COLLABORATE IN CREATING HANDMADE UPCYCLED JEWELRY IN SMALL SERIES & UNIQUE PIECES, BASED ON ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE JEWELRY AND OBJECTS THAT HAVE LOST THEIR FUNCTIONALITY

Tabito’s concept is based on upcycling which is the process of converting material or objects that have lost their use into better quality and value once. Another part is based on the essence of design in the sense that an object, a piece of jewelry does not only have to be beautiful but have to fulfill a certain functionality. Functionalities such as containing, magnifying, writing and mamny more, that you can find in our jewelry. Travel is an import part of our concept too, hence our name tabito. Tabito is a japanese name that is written with two characters: " tabi " / travel & " hito " / human. travel in time by using antique’s or vintage and space by gathering jewellery or objects from different origin & countries like Japan and throughout Europe. Through this concept border of conventional  jewellery are rethought and give birth to our unique upcycled jewellery collections. Jewels with a functionality and a history to wear as a treasure that tell’s a story.
