Handmade recycled solid brass earrings, made by our artisans in Kenya. These are beaded with three, four or five beautiful lapis lazuli gemstones and have a butterfly earring fitting.
These hoops are named with reference to Lamu, our absolute favourite island and place in Kenya, that has been inspirational in many of our jewellery designs.
Lapis lazuli is associated with inner strength, wisdom and intellect. It inspires one to speak their truth with courage. The striking blue colour of Lapis Lazuli reminds us of the same indigo colours you find in traditional cloths in Mali and worn by the Tuareg tribe; a reminder of the wisdom of African tribes before us.
